720 - "TOW Rachel's Big Kiss"

The gang are relaxing in Central Perk when in walks Melissa Warburton,  an old friend of Rachel from the days before her life changed, who calls her Ray-Ray. She has mixed emotions about the woman, but she does agree to a dinner date. After Melissa leaves, Joey & Ross tease Rachel about their Valley Girl talk, but Monica realises that she was the girl who was supposedly Ray-Ray's lover at college.

While Joey almost explodes imagining the girl-girl action, Rachel plays the whole thing down, insisting that they just got drunk in their senior year, and ended up kissing for a bit - but when Ross comments that two of his wives were lesbians, Rachel doesn't deny it! However, she is annoyed that Joey keeps picturing her with Melissa, and he makes it sound quite lewd to Phoebe, who won't believe that Rachel was ever so crazy as to have a lesbian experience.

Rachel brings Phoebe to the restaurant to hear the story from Melissa's own lips, but she talks instead about the man she's marrying, and Phoebe is most amused as Melissa denies Ray-Ray's story of getting drunk at a luau, and knocking their coconut bikini tops together. Rachel becomes angrier & angrier, so just before Melissa leaves, she kisses her full on the lips to jog her memory.

Astonishingly, Melissa immediately gives in, for she's just discovered that Ray-Ray is in love with her! She does remember them kissing, and the coconuts banging together. Rachel's overwhelmed as Melissa reveals she'd said nothing from fear her love would not be returned. Now that it has been, she leans in to kiss Rachel - who shrinks away from what would have been a real lesbian kiss.

Melissa won't believe that Ray-Ray didn't mean it, so Rachel explains that she's just a good kisser. A deeply embarrassed Melissa retreats into denial again, protesting that she does not picture Ray-Ray's face when she makes love to her boyfriend. After a last attempt to snatch a goodbye kiss, Melissa departs - but before Rachel can gather her wits, Phoebe lunges forward & kisses her passionately, to see what all the
fuss was about, and then tells her friend that she's had better!

When Chandler goes to buy a discount tuxedo at Ralph Lauren, he sees some that are nicer than the ones Monica had pre-approved. Explaining they were worn once by celebrities, Rachel finds one that was Pierce Brosnan's. Chandler is entranced by the notion of being James Bond.

Unfortunately, Chandler is vexed as Ross returns from the store with Val Kilmer's tuxedo, since Batman is cooler than James Bond, so he begs his friend not to spoil the wedding for him. Ross won't give in, so Chandler complains to Monica, but she insists that 007 is way cooler than Batman.

However Chandler tries on his tuxedo, but the pants are too tight, and Monica can see his double-oh and his seven in them! Chandler tries on Ross's jacket instead, only to find an invitation to the premier of "At First Sight", so Kilmer wasn't being Batman, he was in a chick flick...

Eventually Chandler returns to Ralph Lauren, where he looks handsome in another tuxedo, but when he asks which celebrity once owned it, Rachel avoids the question - then she has to admit that it was Diane Keaton!

Monica has just solved the problem of where to to seat everyone at the wedding, when Joey reveals that he has asked his parents, since Chandler, Monica and Ross all have their parents coming. Chandler backs Joey up, so she rearranges three tables to fit in the Tribbianis, but Joey tells her they are not coming since they were not
properly invited - so he makes her phone them up to blame it all on the Irish at the 'US Lost Office'.

Joey then announces his parents will be late since they have to attend his niece's christening, yet she won't delay the ceremony for them. In the end, Monica reaches the end of her tether, but Joey just thanks her for taking so much trouble. However, he puts on a funny hat, revealing he won't be wearing a tuxedo, he'll be dressed as a Catholic priest!

Il Matrimonio di Monica e Chandler

Innanzi tutto, tutti e quattro i genitori erano presenti e il padre di Chandler era interpretato da una donna: Kathleen Turner. (^_____^)

E' il giorno prima del matrimonio. Monica e Chandler stanno parlando di quanto sia sorprendente il fatto che Chandler non si sia fatto spaventare e non sia scappato davanti all'idea del matrimonio. Ma appena Monica esce dal loro appartamento, Chandler ascolta il messaggio della segreteria telefonica, in cui Monica dice:

"Salve! Se state chiamando prima di Sabato, rispondono Monica e Chandler. In caso contrario rispondono I BING!!!" Chandler si innervosisce, ma decide di passarci sopra e di andare al rinfresco. Qui c'e' sempre qualcuno che li chiama "I BING", e Chandler comincia a diventare sempre più nervoso.

Dopo il rinfresco Ross trova un bigliettino con su scritto: "Mi dispiace!", e nello stesso tempo nessuno riesce più a trovare Chandler, così mentre Rachel cerca di distrarre Monica, Ross e Phoebe cominciano a cercare Chandler. Alla fine lo trovano nel suo ufficio e lo portano a casa.

In tutto questo, prima che Phoebe andasse ad aiutare Ross a cercare lo sposo, lei e Rachel avevano trovato un test di gravidanza nel cestino del bagno di Monica: era positivo e Chandler non ne sapeva niente.

Tutti (eccetto Joey) alla fine vanno in albergo per prepararsi...Chandler è con Ross che cerca di tranquillizzarlo. Chandler si scusa e va fuori dicendo di voler prendere una boccata d'aria, ma in realtà vuole fumare una sigaretta. Ad un tratto Chandler sente Monica e Phoebe parlare, e subito corre per nascondere sè stesso e la sigaretta (^__^), ma mentre è nascosto, sente Rachel e Phoebe parlare del fatto che Monica è incinta, e si innervosisce di nuovo.

Il gruppo - eccetto Monica - di nuovo non trova più Chandler, ma alla fine lo scovano e lui gli racconta la sua storia: dopo che aveva sentito parlare Phoebe e Rachel, era andato a comprare altre sigarette, ma una volta visto lì un neonato molto carino, aveva realizzato che qualcosa di così piccolo, non poteva essere poi così spaventoso, e che quindi era ben felice di sposare Monica.
 

Nel frattempo Joey sta girando un film con un attore famoso, ma purtroppo devono girare proprio nel giorno del matrimonio. Allora Joey vuole cercare di girare la scena il più velocemente possibile, in modo da poter essere in tempo al matrimonio. Sfortunatamente l'altro attore è ubriaco, e allora Joey con l'inganno fa credere all'attore che hanno già girato la loro scena e che quindi può tornarsene a casa. Così senza l'attore principale, vengono rinviate le registrazioni e Joey può correre al matrimonio...

Chandler e Monica stanno quasi per sposarsi, ma Joey fa capire a Monica che Chandler ha cercato di defilarsi. A quel punto però Chandler con molta docezza dice a Monica che la ama e che vuole sposarla, così finalmente si sposano!!!

Non c'è nessuna certezza, ma il fatto che Monica sia incinta potrebbe essere probabile.

E' stato un episodio fantastico!!

Matthew Perry è stato grande e ha recitato splendidamente, sembrava contento.
E' anche rimasto in scena durante le pause!!

Anche se l'episodio è fondamentalmente basato sul dramma e la suspance, state tranquilli, non mancano le scene divertenti!!

Il Matrimonio è stato stupendo!!!!C'erano un sacco di fiorii veri sul set!!

(La puntata andrà in onda in America il 15 Maggio...chissà in Italia...probabilmente agli inizi dell'anno prossimo!!! n.d.r.)
 

SPOILER: TOW Joey's New Brain

The episode was a 40 minute
sweeps episode and it will air 2/15. It occurs a week after Rachel and Tag break up (there is a reference to their break up in the script). It guest starred Susan Sarandon (Tim Robbins was hanging around watching all evening as was David Arquette). I thought it was a very funny episode - all the storylines were great and the audience seemed to agree (everyone was laughing a lot and getting into it).

Okay onto the meaty stuff. This is (obviously) just a basic story outline - I haven't included all the details/funny one-liners etc. because I'm sure you all still want something to enjoy when you watch the episode!

Someone already wrote about the Joey/Susan storyline - basically Susan's character is getting written out of Days of Our Lives and Joey's character is getting her brain... Susan is upset that her character is getting written out so Joey comforts her. Needless to say they end up in bed! At the end Susan leaves to make a film in
Latin American (leaving Joey all alone once again...)

Rachel and Phoebe were in the second storyline. They see a really cute guy in the Coffee House. When he leaves he forgets his mobile phone and they fight over who should be the one to keep it (and answer it when he calls to find the phone). Ultimately Pheobe is the one to answer and she arranges for the guy to come over to her place and pick up the phone - but Rachel makes sure that she'll be there
when he arrives. When he does come over it turns out that he is a different old guy (his assistant was the cute guy that they saw in the coffee shop) but Phoebe thinks he is even sexier than the young guy and begs Rachel to let her have him (needless to say Rachel does!)

Finally, in the third storyline Ross has a surprise planned for Monica and Chandler's wedding - he is learning to play the bagpipes to celebrate Chandler's Scottish heritage (David actually was playing the bagpipes in these scenes!) Monica and Chandler find out about his plans because they hear him practising (it is awful!) They don't want Ross to play, but they don't want to hurt his feelings by asking him not to.
Eventually, they confront him, but Ross begs them to hear him play before making a final decision. He plays for everyone (they all think he is awful except Phoebe who sings along) so Monica and Chandler refuse to let him play at the wedding.

At the very end Phoebe and Ross peform together at the Coffee House.
They invited all the others but of course no-one has turned up...

In summary it was a great evening. I was really impressed by all the cast - they are SO talented. Matthew Perry is so witty and quick with his humor. Jennifer Aniston simply sparkles! The cast seemed very relaxed and happy - there was a lot of laughter while they were doing the scenes and there was even some nice interaction with the audience.
 
At one point the audience entertainer guy got a girl to get up and sing - she had a great voice and so all the cast and crew stopped to listen to her too!

Oh - and for all you Ross and Rachel fans there were a couple of sweet moments between them. At the beginning when Monica starts talking about her wedding plans Rachel begins to cry and Ross immediately is very concerned and asks her what the matter is (she's just feeling sentimental). And later when Ross is playing the bagpipes there is some sexy banter between them. It probably means nothing at all - but
I thought I'd let you know!

SPOILER: Prima puntata settima serie.

Monica dice a Rachel che lei sta provando a rubarle la scena perché Rachel vuole fare sesso con Ross la sera del fidanzamento ufficiale di Monica, cosa che era già successa alla festa del 16° compleanno di quest'ultima quando Rachel pomiciò con Charlie, cugino di Monica. Rachel ribatte che lo fece perché il party di Monica era davvero una noia. Ma Monica non è d'accordo ed infatti dice: "C'era un caricaturista!" Allora arriva Phoebe che comincia a cantare:

Whenever I get married
Guess who I won't ask to sing
Somebody named Geller
And somebody else named Bing.
(Quando mi sposerò
Indvina a chi non chiederò di cantare?
A qualcuno che si chiama Geller
E a qualcun'altro che si chiama Bing.)

Monica dice a Rachel che forse lei è gelosa che quella che era stata sua amica si sposi prima di lei. Rachel dice che è così ingiusto e che ora sì che le ruberà la scena! E dice: "Andiamo Ross, facciamo del sesso!" e se ne va. Ross è sconvolto, ma poi la segue. Monica poi li segue alla porta e dice "Non posso crederci che stiate facendo del sesso la sera del mio fidanzamento ufficiale!" e Chandler ribatte: "Be', qualcuno deve pur farne!"

Scena 12
Camera da letto di Rachel

Rachel e Ross sono nella camera di lei e Rachel dice: "Noi non faremo davvero sesso, glielo dobbiamo solo fare credere." Ross dice sarcastico:
"Ah, così sono TUTTI contenti!" Bussano alla porta. Rachel chiede chi è e Monica risponde. Rachel dice qualcosa che fa intuire che lei e Ross se la stanno spassando.

Monica e chandler entrano e Monica dice: "Spero che voi due torniate asseieme e spero che facciate davvero sesso stasera. ma vi avverto, la sera che voi annuncerete che vi state per sposare, sarà la sera in cui io annuncerò di essere incinta!" Chndler dice: "E come sarà mai possibile?"

Rachel dice che sta facendo tutto questo solo perché è triste che Monica si sta per sposare e che lei non ci è neanche vicina al matrimonio. Insomma, voleva solo sentirsi meglio. E poi dice a Monica: "Sei stata tanto depressa al matrimonio di Ross con Emily, che sei andata a letto con Chandler!" Ross guarda Chandler, che dice: "Non m'importa, tanto è venuta a letto con me." 

Monica e Rachel fanno la pace e si abbracciano. Ross dice che se ne sta per andare. Alza in alto le mani e dice: "Da questo momento in poi, l'unica persona che si godrà la loro compagnia sarò io stesso." (Deve essere un riferimento a qualche scena filmata precedentemente.)

Scena 13- Honeymoon
Camera di Chandler e Monica.

Chandler e Monica sono nella loro camera da letto e Chandler fa cenno al fatto che potrebbero andare a Parigi per la loro luna di miele. Monica dice "Bonjour, monsier," e cominciano a baciarsi. Ma poi bussano alla porta.
Chandler dice: "Siamo a Parigi, come hanno fatto a trovarci?!"

Monica apre la porta e vede che è Phoebe. Monica, infastidita, le chiede cosa vuole. Phoebe dice che vuole suonare la chitarra al matrimonio e si arrabbia quando la mandano via.

Scena 14- Scena "dopo sigla"

Hanno girato due diverse versioni della scena. Phoebe suona la chitarra in soggiorno. La canzone parla di come Phoebe sia rimasta lì (?), e alla fine canta: "Stasera Chandler andrà in bianco" Chandler esce dalla sua camera, Phoebe smette di cantare e poi lui le chiede di suonare al loro matrimonio.
Phoebe è eccitata e riprende a suonare quando Chandler ritorna in camera sua. Continua a cantare, sperando che lui torni fuori, ma lui non lo fa.

Nella seconda versione, Chandler le dà dei soldi e le dice "consideralo un anticipo". Dopo lei comincia a suonare di nuovo e lui esce dalla stanza e le strappa la chitarra dalle mani. Phoebe poi raccoglie i soldi che le sono caduti e se ne va.
